Plans for the 2018 Back to School Bash are in full swing. We're delighted to announce that New Rochelle resident and NBC New York Anchor Stefan Holt will emcee the event. The night's honorees include:

  • Heriberto Contreras, Director, Business Relations, Retail Outreach, MVP Health Care

  • Hon. Catherine F. Parker, Westchester County Legislator, District 7

  • Kenneth C. Plummer, Principal & Founder, Kensworth Consulting

The event takes place  6:30-9:30 PM on Thursday, October 18 at the Davenport Mansion, New Rochelle. Tickets are $55 and include food stations, open bar, and entertainment. Guests are encouraged to wear their high school or college alma mater gear.

"We keep this night fun and fresh," says Deputy Executive Director for the CCC Daniel Bonnet. "We have a great mix of program alumni, faculty, counselors, community supporters - you name it. Our student ambassadors come to help. There's a real CCC team spirit. This year, we're also adding the honorees, all of whom have shown a tremendous commitment to helping the young people who are part of our program."

The Back to School Bash benefits the Center for College & Careers (CCC), a program of The Guidance Center of Westchester. Each year, the works with close to 500 young people (ages 13-25), transforming their lives and their futures.

The high school based program takes place within Mount Vernon High School and New Rochelle High School. The center-based programs works with young people who want to earn an equivalency diploma
