Get to work! Summer employment program

Do you know a New Rochelle resident (ages 14-20) who is looking for a summer job? Have them reach out to Ms. Higgins at our Center for College & Careers.  The Guidance Center of Westchester will be looking to help about 20-25 young people by placing them in jobs through our Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). 

The program runs July 8 - August 16, and the youth employees can work up to 20 hours per wee . Ms. Higgins provides job support and coaching which benefits the youth employee as well as the employer. The SYEP grant funds the $12 per hour wage, so the employer does not have to cover the pay.

Due to funding guidelines, we can only work with residents of New Rochelle. Youth in other cities should contact their local youth bureau for a  similar program in their community.
