Audrey Mlotek (President) earned a BA in Economics/Accounting from Lehman College, CUNY. Her organizational skills, strong financial background, experiences as a nursery school teacher and as a counselor are a natural fit with TGC’s mission and goals.

Kelly Fowler Hunter (Executive Vice President) holds a BA degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA degree from The Tuck School at Dartmouth College. She is Managing Partner of Hunter Travel Service, a travel planning and consulting business she co-founded with her husband. Kelly is very active in the community and is pleased to offer her marketing, fundraising and sales skills to The Guidance Center.

Jay Kushner (Treasurer) holds a BA from Pennsylvania State University and a JD from Hofstra University School of Law. Jay is the Senior Vice President of Global Taxation and Treasury for Viacom, Inc. With over 25 years of experience in corporate finance, Jay offers his skills to help The Guidance Center deliver more services, more effectively.

Gene Rostov (Secretary) received a BA from Tufts University and is President of General Resource Corporation, an international trading firm in Stamford, CT. He joined The Guidance Center’s board in order to work with an agency that offers high-quality, high-value health and human services to people in need. He brings to the board his international business background with an emphasis on interpersonal skills.

Guillermo Aguilar-Alvarez (Director) is a partner at the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York, NY. He earned his law degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM, Mexico City, Mexico). He is currently a visiting professor at the Yale Law School. Guillermo’s vast legal and international experiences benefit TGC in numerous ways.

Gerry Feinberg (Director) graduated from New York University with a BA in Psychology and earned a JD from New York Law School. He operates the Law Offices of Gerry E. Feinberg, P.C. Gerry contributes analytical and negotiation skills developed as an attorney to his TGC activities.

Amy Gelles (Executive Director) earned her BA in early childhood education from Tufts University and her MSW from Columbia School of Social Work. Amy joined The Guidance Center as Executive Director in 2004 . Her 30 years of direct service and administrative experience prepared her well for leading this community-based agency. Amy's ability to develop programs that have a positive impact on the changing needs of the community helps keep The Guidance Center at the forefront of mental health and human services.

Richard Goodman (Director) received a BA from Columbia College, a PhD in English Literature from Columbia University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and a MBA from Columbia Business School. He is Chief Financial Officer of PepsiCo. Richard shares his vast financial and organizational management experience with TGC and has been an invaluable leader in agency governance.

Kathy Hagendorf (Director) graduated cum laude with a BA in Philosophy from York College, CUNY. She brings to TGC her experience and the relationships she has developed in over 20 years as an active community volunteer. Kathy often says that she gets back more than she gives from her work at TGC.

Frank Hariton (Director) earned both his BA and JD from Case Western University.  Frank practiced as a securities attorney and is currently a sole practitioner in White Plains.  He served on the board of directors for Parents Place for more than 12 years. His vast knowledge about and passion for the Parents Place will be invaluable asset as TGC looks to enhance this program.

Zenola Harper (Director) earned her JD from New York University School of Law and her BA degree from Smith College. She most recently served as Acting Senior Managing Counsel for Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York and Senior Counsel of Litigation at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. In addition to serving on the board for The Guidance Center, Zenola is active with many professional and civic organizations. Zenola’s life achievements enable her to see opportunities in obstacles, and she looks forward to using this innate ability to help move The Guidance Center and its programs forward.  

Meri Hilton (Director) earned her BA with Honors in American Studies from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and her JD from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University. TGC greatly benefits from the analytical skills that she developed professionally in the legal and publishing worlds as well as the energy and knowledge that she brings from her active community involvement. Meri appreciates the energy and skill of TGC’s staff and the dedication of its board.

Charles Lickel (Director) serves as Vice President of Software for IBM. Charles earned his BS from the State University of New York at Albany. He has a particular interest in driving changes to bring equality in the workplace. Charles shares his talents as a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum and is on advisory boards for SUNY Albany, Pace University and the NJ Institute of Technology. He is also a member of the Human Rights Campaign.

Susan Milmoe (Director) earned a BS in Textiles & Clothing Design from Cornell University and her MBA in Corporate Finance from the Stern School of Business at NYU.  Susan most recently served as Vice President of Merchandising & Strategic Planning at Royce Hosiery Mills Inc. in New York City.  Her dynamic combination of creative and analytic expertise will help The Guidance Center as we shape new programs and services. She remains actively involved with Cornell University, serving on several councils and boards.

James Fred Moore  (Director) earned a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University and a MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia University. He feels a deep commitment to community service and a compelling need to share his talents with others as a board member with TGC.

Wendy Pomerantz (Director) graduated cum laude with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Union College and earned an MS in Quantitative Analysis from NYU. She has worked for major corporations in engineering and computer systems analysis. After serving on The Guidance Center’s Development Committee, she wanted to become more active in improving the lives of people in need in her community.

Elizabeth (Betty) Provenzano (Director) earned a BA in Speech and Theatre from Lehman College, CUNY. Her business experience as office manager of her husband’s medical practice and knowledge of heath care and insurance industries have been invaluable to TGC.

LaThell A. Sebastian-Smith (Director) earned a BA from University of Virginia and an MS in Secondary Education from Mercy College. She is currently an Ed.D. candidate at Columbia University Teachers College. LaThell has extensive teaching and administrative experience and brings her passion to improve the education of minority students in urban areas to The Guidance Center.

Gilbert Torres (Director) is Vice President, Senior Relationship Manager for Citigroup in the Westchester/Connecticut market. He earned a BS in Business from Fordham University and served in the United States Army. Mr. Torres shares his financial and business acumen with TGC.

Lance R. Wachenheim (Director) received a BA from Skidmore College, where he played on the ice hockey team. He is a Director of several private firms and foundations, has experience in the paper and publishing industries, and is active in local ice hockey associations. His analytical skills will help The Guidance Center as we continue to look for the most effective way to provide quality programs to our clients. Lance continues his late-Grandfather's (Edgar, Jr.) service to The Guidance Center’s Board.
